Dear IEEE ISVLSI Delegates,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the OFFICIAL CONFERENCE BANQUET. Both General Chairs and me, are much honored to organize such an important and interesting conference.

Before we go on to the Best Papers Awards, I would like to give me the chance to thank some persons for their support, throughout the organization of ISVLSI.

First of all I would like to thank the local authorities for supporting the conference organization at Kefalonia and especially to the beautiful place of Lixouri.

We would like to thank the Telecommunication Systems & Networks Dept (TESYD) –Technological Educational Institute of Messologhi, the head of the Department Prof. Vassilis Triantafylloy, and the staff also, working for the conference organization almost a year.

Great thanks must be given to the Program Committee Members for supporting our efforts before and during the conference.

We would like to thank IEEE and especially the council of IEEE Greece GOLD Affinity Group.

We are more than grateful to all of our sponsors. Without them many of the conference activities could not be taken place.

We thank also the Technological Educational Institute of Patras, for the support.

Last but not least I would like to thank the army of volunteers from the Telecommunication Systems & Networks Department, of the Technological Educational Institute of Messologhi. Their hard work was of great importance for the conference success.

Every achievement of IEEE ISVLSI 2010 has been done due to all the above people, while any possible missing point is completely my fault.

Let’s go on with the best papers awards.

The Award of the Conference Best Paper goes to the work entitled:

  • Accurate Asynchronous Network-on-Chip Simulation Based on a Delay-Aware Model”, by Naoya Onizawa, Tomoyoshi Funazaki, Atsushi Matsumoto and Takahiro Hanyu.

We invite on stage the General Chair Prof. Nikolaos Voros for the first PhD Forum Award.

The Best PhD Forum Awards should be given to :

  • Lars Braun, for his PhD Thesis, “Two Dimensional Dynamic Multigrained reconfigurable Hardware”.

We invite the General Co-Chair Prof. Amar Mukherjee for the second PhD Forum Award.

  • Diana Goehringer, for her PhD Thesis, “Accurate Asynchronous Network-on-Chip Simulation Based on a Delay-Aware Model”.

Thank you very much for your attention. I wish to all of you an enjoyable & pleasure night.
